The guys had all played in bands previous to forming Black Diamond. All with different influences ranging from Alternative to Country to New Wave to Punk and of course Classic Rock. With combined talents, the band was able to meld the music genres together to produce music that made people want to dance and rock out to Classic/Alternative Rock.
The band began by opening up for another local band at the Cressona Fire Company and two weeks later playing their first debut show at the Midtowne Lounge in Cressona to a full house and then some. From there, they played venues in the surrounding area for the next few years until packing it in almost five years later. The guys are currently playing reunion shows with all the original members to bring back the music and fun they once shared with the fans that came to see them.
