SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drums, Other Percussion, Keyboard, Piano, Other.ABOUT
I cannot be the only around 40-ish guy in DFW that wants to be in a band that isn't a cover band, metal, country, classic country, blues, blues-rock, country-rock, screamo, christian contemporary, hair metal, praise and worship, or acoustic.
There have to be some people around my age who want to write and perform the kind of "college radio" alternative rock we grew up on...REM, the Pixies, the Smiths, XTC, Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club, the Creatures...all the good IRS and Sub Pop artists up to and including the early grunge movement.
I'm a bass player...I'm 40, I have a family and such.
If you're around my age with the same memories, same CD/MP3 collection, and you play drums or guitar (or are a female singer), hit me up. I would really like to write some amazing songs and show all these "no one over 25" kids how it's really done.

Influences
When you've been playing as long as I have, this question is extremely irrelevant.
Fine, pro gear.
Just know I am down for anything that isn't metal or jeebus-rock. Too old to do lame stuff anymore.

EQUIPMENT
I have a few bass guitars. They're mostly black, and extremely awesome. They plug into a GK amplifier through some pedals.
Again, you don't get to be a musician as long as I have with crappy gear.
