ABOUT

Our goal is to be a tight, cohesive band that can really consider each other close friends. We want to write a crap load of new songs together and record demos of them on our own in preparation for recording a professional-level album at a studio. We will still play live shows locally in order to further tighten up the band, build a fan base, and really get the songs down well but the ultimate goal is to bring our best bunch of songs to a studio and record a professional level album. Who knows after that. Maybe the album will grab some attention. Maybe we'll want to take the show on the road. Members of this band have done all of this before.

We need a bass player who is creative and solid. Most importantly we need someone who is super dedicated to contributing and writing original music with us. We want someone who is going to help hold down the rhythm section but not be afraid to get weird. Is music really your life? Think you can hang? Sound like something you want to be a part of? Listen to the demos we put up. They don't have bass so if you can download and record something to them, go right ahead and then send it to us!!!

The Black Heart Thieves were born from the necessity of creative expression. The need to keep blood flowing to the farthest points within body and mind. The desire to recreate each fleeting feeling that humans have ever felt. A monumental attempt to make magic in tiny moments. Imagine that this sound is what it feels like to wash down a couple delicious carne asada tacos with a few too many shots of fine tequila. Inspiration comes anywhere from the vast open spaces of the desert to expressions of the minute details of our lives.

Elements of hard and classic sounds are recognizable in their brand of rock but with modern, alternative song structures and a progressively artistic feel. The Black Heart Thieves have a clever of way of combining layered, riff-driven hooks with pushy choruses and movable grooves. Vocal dynamics ranging from soft caressing to loud wailing, as well as intricate rhythmic and tonal variations, give their sound a refined feel.

Invite inside the weird and let it sway you from side to side.
Gentle words with a magic melody will bring your soul to life.
Close your eyes and sing but don't forget to breathe.
Sound hammers your body and your ears may start to bleed.
