I've played in punk bands, ska bands, and alt rock bands. Looking to join or start a metal band with heavy groove/rhythm aspects and unique sonic textures. I'm into bands like Slabdragger, Ufomammut, Acid Bath, Deafheaven, Jupiterian, Wolves In The Throne Room, High on Fire, Sleep, Slayer, True Widow, Helms Alee, Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats, Big Business, etc etc etc......
Maybe something in the doom or stoner metal area? BUT, I'm also open to playing in more alt rock, punk, rockabilly or Americana areas if the fit is right. I also love these types of music.
Not interested in top 40 cover band type stuff. At all. Nope.

I'm early 40, but am comfortable playing with people 25-45ish if they are fun, responsible, and talented. Want to write, record, and play some shows. As far as shows go, I always prefer quality vs quantity.
