38 year old, veteran professional musician. Have played in multiple national / international recording & touring bands as a lead & rhythm guitarist and vocalist (extreme metal, in my younger days). Today, my tastes have relaxed and are more in the realm of psychedelic rock, forward thinking elements of the black metal genre (particularly the hybrid bands fusing this style with indie rock and modern electronic music), old school hip hop, old outlaw country music, old blues, 70's & 80's reggae / dub, and so on....
I have a full album of intense, dark, psychedelic rock (with traces of the aforementioned black metal elements in certain tracks) completely written and demo'ed out. I'm looking for a drummer who wants to let a rip on these tunes. Can be a drummer for hire thing or perhaps the start of a new working relationship if a spark is there. Said-recording is being financed by a record company from Germany (who I'm currently signed with for two more albums with decent budgets) and would be released professionally. Aside from this project.... I am looking to join someone else's band as well! Just really itching to play regularly. I'm a solid rhythm guitarist, very solid bass player (play with both fingers and pick, whichever the music calls for) and Ive got all my own gear, transport and plenty of time. Interested in creative original projects in the styles of some of what I've described above (I'm open to anything, though, if its serious) and also very open to the idea of playing bass or guitar for a cover band on the wknds to play paying gigs regularly.
