I’m a lifelong, self-taught, amateur rock musician. I’ve lead sang and played guitar, bass, drums, and turntables in a handful of trio and quartet bands. My claims to fame include selling out a few local venues, runner up at battle of the bands with the manager of Imagine Dragons (really), and two dozen writing credits on harmonious but otherwise forgettable songs. I believe trios work better because they’re easier to get everyone on the same page, and I’d rather play covers for the time being to build chemistry than waste time on forgettable amateur music. Anything besides modern radio country (although I dig Paisley and Hank Williams), industrial music not recorded by NIN in the ‘90s, progressive rock, Phish, and whiny acoustic songs.
