Influences

My Mom & Dad (Pro Entertainers) were my first influence. They are talented performers and growing-up with them, I just thought ~ (well), that was what people did!
On stage at 5yrs old.
My big Brother (Kenton) and his friends hanging out at the house
(Sammy Hagar). Fontana, California.
Then came the Beatles! The English Invasion!! OMG!!! had to get me some of that and started creating ways and means to get on stage. Went from Saxophone to Guitar BAM!!!
Along the way, I have been influenced by just about everyone from Jazz to "CountryVille" ~ Rock from the beginnings, to the present ~ San Fran Rock and Rock till your "socks" fall off! Big Bands ~ Harry James, Stan Kenton (my Dad's stuff) Chuck Berry, Righteous Brothers, Supremes, Patsy Cline, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton Pete Entwistle, Opera Rock (Jesus Christ Superstar) Drama Rock (The Tubes) Carol Kaye, Jimi Hendrix, ALL of Woodstock, Sammy Hagar, Van Halen. Jonny Lang, Bangles, Go Go's, Any/everyone with a BANG or a TWANG!
My influences have combined, merged, boiled down and concentrated into a matrix of ENTERTAINMENT!
That's what it's all about when you take it to the stage!
Your entertainment = their (Crowd) Entertainment!
That's why they buy tickets, clap, stomp, whistle and scream!
The "Crowd Sound" YOU know that~THEY know that ~ RIGHT??? We give THEM what they want ~ They give us what we want ~ ~ ~
YOU know . . . ." You drive us WILD, We'll drive you CRAZY"
That's the "Crowd Sound"!!!
That's the sound I like, and IS the biggest influence in my life.
I am addicted to the stage because in front of me is the CROWD and in my gut is a big ol' Butterfly flitterring about until I hear that "Crowd Sound"!
I blow out a big breath, and know I am home.
