ABOUT

Blaze The Nation was founded by guitarists Dennis Hartley and Connor Milbourn in late 2008. Drummer Corey Ortega, bassist Chris Rodriguez and lead vocalist, Anthony Contreras completed a group of musicians with a wide range of individual influences and interests. The five brought together a love of reggae, rock, jazz and hip-hop to create a signature sound of over 40 plus original songs to date, along with putting their twist on covers of their favorite bands. Since playing their first show on St. Patrick’s Day 2009, BTN has played well over 250 live performances.

Over the years, BTN has enjoyed playing throughout New Mexico at many of the area bars & night clubs, along with festivals and events and other regional gigs to develop their fan following. Blaze The Nation blends rock, reggae, jazz and hip-hop influences into their original work. Using a combination of musical genres in song arrangements has become a signature sound for the band. A key to their success has been a solid work ethic with regular practice and rehearsals to fine tune and master their sound for live performances.
