Hi! I'm Mike. I am a "plug and play" bass player, meaning I know my chords, modes and enough theory to quickly access most tunes. I have an array of different basses with an array of different strings (see photos). I can produce a wide variety of sounds and grooves. I play rock and jazz, I was "raised on radio" and like to play classic rock covers but not necessarily "just like the album." I love to play and to "play out," or live. I would be just as happy in an AC/DC or Joni Mitchell tribute band and I could nail the bass parts in either scenario. I am looking for fellow "plug and play" players who could put together tunes and sets quickly. I am especially interested in playing in a band with an organist (Hammond). I am good backup singer but really only need to play bass to be happy. I have a great attitude and (from what I hear) am a lot of fun to watch. I am in Salt Lake. I am self-employed, very flexible and very punctual.
