ABOUT

For almost 7 years (2007-2014), I was doing duo work with a female vocalist. We were at Ralph & Kacoo's Sunday Brunch for 2 1/2 years, and at Wine Country weekly for 4 years. Now, things have changed and I'm looking for a new musical project. I'm easy-going, honest, dependable, no drugs, alcohol, or ego issues. I just want to enjoy being a musician and I'm ready for a change. I have worked over 800 gigs in Shreveport/Bossier area in 7 years. I can be reached at 318 949-5043 afternoons and evenings until 8.

As a musician: 50+ years practical stage experience, pro gear and attitude. Honest, responsible, capable musician with no drug or alcohol issues. Married, stable player with solid work ethics. Lots of great references. Worked from Daytona Beach to California, from Gulf Coast and New Orleans (including over 1200 gigs on Bourbon St. in 80's) to Great Lakes, from solo guitar and solo keyboards to 10-piece horn band. Classic Rock, Country Rock, R&B, Country, Blues, Motown, Soul, Lounge, Restaurant, duo, trio, whatever, most anything OK except no rap, hip-hop, or metal. Not interested in road work anymore. For a sample of my guitar playing, go to my You Tube channel. I played all the instruments at home, mixed them onto a laptop, and accompanied my tracks on guitar.

PLEASE CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION. NO TEXT MESSAGING!!! Best bet is to call me at (318) 949-5043 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thanks.

Influences

As a Sound Tech: Over 2400 shows mixed as casino sound tech, mixed over 1000 hours of national acts. Owned and operated Yamaha MC2404 Front of House 24 channel console with a Mackie 1402VLZ and a Mackie 1202VLZ for keyboard submixers on stage (this allowed a total of 44 inputs) and up to 10 monitor mixes (12 wedges and 8 trap boxes) plus stereo sidefills from a Yamaha 2410M Monitor Console (most of the time 6 mixes were plenty), 4 FX plus gates and limiters on mains, dedicated reverb on lead singer's monitor mix. All Crown K1, MA1200 and MA600 Power Amps. Zero failure rate of any of my gear while a show was in progress. No late starts caused by me or my gear. Usually, a sound system this size requires 2 operators, but I ran this one solo for almost 5 years.

EQUIPMENT

Fender Stratocaster, 2000 watt 4-Channel Power Amp, Soundcraft 16-channel mixer with 4 monitor mixes and FX Sends, FOH rack (Furman Power Conditioner, 2 Yamaha SPX90's, Yamaha Comp/Limiter, Yamaha EQ, Monitor rack (2 Yamaha Stereo Comp/Limiters and 2 Yamaha Stereo 31-band EQ's), JBL MRX515 (4), 2 EV SB122 subs (2), mics, stands, 2 DI's. This is a sweetheart PA, carefully matched components, clear, accurate sound, a joy to run. Surprisingly powerful for its relatively small appearance.
