ABOUT

Seeking working band either cover or original material. I have over 30 years experience playing Blues, Standards, Jazz and Rock. Primarly a drummer, I can read charts and have taught at music stores. Former bands I was in opened for Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, Koko Taylor. At Blues festivals on same day with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, BB King. Jammed w/ Tab Benoit and Ronnie Earl. Was in pick up bands for the Platters and 2 seperate Elvis impersonators. Played club dates w jazz artists, Randy Bernson, Duffy Jackson, Othello, Jorge Garcia.I have recorded home projects where I play all instruments and sing. Influences

Open to most styles of music. Love old school staight ahead jazz, soul, funk and blues shuffles/boogies. Open minded to new styles and sounds. Love Jazz by Wes Montgomery, Billy Cobham, and Weather Report. Rock with GFR, ELP, ZZ Top, Pink Floyd and the Doors. Blues favorites are Little Walter, Muddy Waters, and Albert Collins. Many more soul, latin, and funk grooves too.
