Influences
Most of my guitar influence early on came from Trower, Hendrix (of course), Rick Derringer, Joe Walsh, Jeff Beck, etc. As a side note, I believe Joe Walsh Barnstorm album was a creative masterpiece. If you don't agree, turn everything else off, put on some headphones and listen to the whole album. I locked onto Edgar Winter early also and like funk and smooth jazz type grooves with my playing. To me, feeling what you play is much more satisfying than mimicking what someone else played. Not trying to be better than any or everyone, I just do what I do.
My biggest harmonica influences were Magic Dick and John Mayall. Room to Move was the first harp song I learned in my early teens. Consequently, I prefer to play harmonica over a funky groove or upbeat blue riffs rather than traditional blues.

EQUIPMENT
Not much for new guitars. Older strat, tele, 335 and neck through. Whatever the style is calling for. Mesa Boogie for years but also now use the newer block amplification. Harmonica is setup for that great blues tone through a small fender amp with the right harp mic for the occasion.
