Band to Join, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
I'm a bit of a lapsed drummer who would like to find a kindred spirit bassist to jam with in order to get my chops back, as well as to have fun and connect musically. My natural style is perhaps best described as hard funk. I really want to develop some skill/feel with afro-cuban drumset patterns as well. My thinking is it would be cool to find a bassist first, then maybe add guitar later once we are tight as a rhythm section.
By "lapsed", I mean that I played a lot in and just after college in early 90's, but I quit my band in order to finish my degree. I've had projects here and there since, but not much in the way of a working/gigging project.

David Garibaldi, Clyde Stubblefield, Buddy (perhaps more inspiration than influence - if I could only ), Jojo Mayer. Anyone with a deep pocket and serious feel. And then there is my first (and only) teacher -Marc Janus
