I am trying to get back into the groove of playing music after having to take a three-year leave of absence to be a caregiver for someone in my family who had cancer. Up until I had to quit, I had played full-time with a Country band in Kokomo that played new and old Country and threw in some Classic Rock.

I am looking for a band that Plays a good mix of old and new Country with some other types of music thrown in. I have extensive experience playing Top-40 Country and Traditional Country. I have also played Rockabilly, Oldies, Classic Rock, Bluegrass, Swing, and some Acoustic Rock. the only thing I don;t enjoy playing is Funk, but I can fake it on a few songs.

I would like to play out a few times a month. I do not have a problem with practicing but I definitely don't want to just play in a garage. I am just as happy playing back yard Bar-B-Ques and benefits as I am playing the high-paying gigs. I am no longer wanting to "chase the stars," Play for "blood," or believe that I can make my living doing this. However, I do still take pride in my sound and quality of the music.

Before moving to Indiana, I played full-time in the Louisville area. The band i played with played 4 to 5 nights a week. We also Played fairs and festivals including the KY State Fair and KY Derby Festival, which were competitive jobs to get. In addition to this experience, I also played at Renfro Valley and several other family-type shows.

Please don;t let the fact that I am female deter you from considering me playing for your group. I have always carried my own weight. I am dependable, easy to get along with, and do my homework. I can take constructive feedback. I have my own transportation and professional equipment. I hope this will not be mistaken as me being arrogant or egotistical, because I am really quite shy and my own worst critic. But I played full-time for more than 15 years in Louisville at some of the highest paid jobs in the area. Most of the time, the male bass players, and many of my critics were sitting in the audience watching as opposed to being on a stage there or anywhere. If you hear me and don't like what you hear, that is fair, but do give a listen before you make up your mind.

No Drugs, No Drunks, No Drama. I just want to find a group of people who are easy to get along with and be able to enjoy playing music again. I would also like to make new friends/family in the process.

Update: I have played more recently in the Noblesville and surrounding areas with Sonsee Cloud.
