ABOUT

Bass player. Looking to jam, maybe. I did this a long time and was fairly successful. I'm no longer in my hometown that I grew up playing in, (atl). I'm anonymous here in this town, and I like the idea of that. I'm picky, I dont have time for newbs or greenhorns. I'm not sure if I want to play live or not, I'm not impressed with the population of Fort Wayne thus far so I'm going to take this very slowly. I'm 41 but I dont look it, I started playing live when I was 15, worked in major clubs and major studios, opened for major acts and partied with quite a few people. I dont name drop, that's tacky AF. All in all I can say without hesitation that I've played thousands of shows to mostly sold out crowds. I'm not a burnout, not a dope head and not a drunk. I've got a full time job and am moderately happy with it. You'd have to be an exceptional act with some serious mileage for me to consider stepping out on stage. Bass can be a lonely instrument, I've got an electronic drum kit and I play that just as much if not more, that's more for cardio though. All that being said it would be good to jam with someone who can understand more than a 4/4 time sig or a 1,2 beat. I double and triple slap, if you wanna go heavy and play triplets at 250 bpm I'll just use a pick ffs, 2 hand tap, standard 3 finger slap technique. I'm open to questions and all types of music as I have recorded and played live all types, you just have to be better than average. If you question if you are better than average then you might want to keep scrolling unless the word prodigy was used when you were younger.

Influences

Everything, life. Bootsy, The Wizard, p-funk era, pantera, old Metallica, dillinger escape plan, machine head, fear factory, old sepultura, Hendrix, tool, apc, rage against the machine, endorphine, nothingface, mudvayne, I dig on classical and opera as well. Sinatra the Dorsey days as well as Quincy Jones the Count Base days. Elvis, Johnny Cash and Chuck Berry. If it's good, I like it. I like the originators, not the imitators. I double and triple slap, if you wanna go heavy and play triplets at 250 bpm I'll just use a pick ffs, 2 hand tap, standard 3 finger slap technique.

EQUIPMENT

I have lots of gear between here and GA. I'm not dragging around an ampeg 8x10 fridge for a jam though. I've got an American Spector Forte 4, a beautiful rare piece of rain forest. Then I've got a schecter something or another, it has good breath and can hold it's own. If I need something to fit a certain sound I'll just go buy something but I'm not playing a fender, I have man hands that are too big for that crap.
