Box of Records

Vocalist - Baritone, Vocalist - Tenor.

Box of Records plays rock from the 60s and 70s, occasionally incorporating modern songs that keep with our style. Box of Records currently has five dedicated members, each with 15-20 years of experience. We own our sound system and rehearse weekly in Newton, MA. Funds from monthly gigs cover the cost of this space and other expenses. We typically play shows 1-3 weekends per month and have several standing residencies.

Box of Records is seeking a male lead singer also able to play rhythm guitar as well, although we are open to having two separate people fill these roles. We currently have a female vocalist who sings lead on some songs, but we are looking for a male voice to sing lead for most songs. Our lead singer also has to provide backing vocals on the female-fronted songs, so we are looking for someone flexible enough to cover leads and harmonies.

The current members all have day jobs and busy lives, so we require individuals who are organized. While we are looking for members who are responsible, we are NOT professional musicians. We play for fun and because we love it.

The band's biggest strength has always been the chemistry between members. If you see yourself as a good fit, email us at boxofrecordsband(at)that one with a G in its name(dot)com or call Dave at 617-435-6985.
