I have turned my rehearsal spot into a music video/audio studio to record my band. What I would like to do is open my rehearsal space to other local Boston bands and musicians that are interested in creating digital content for social media. Anyone who has tried Live Streaming musical performances knows it can be tricky getting a good quality audio mix.

We are still building this out and trying to get the right mix of gear to optimize what we are trying to do. OBS only allows for 2 channel input recording. We use a 16 Channel Presonus StudioLive Mixing Console that can either use 2 Channel out for Live Streaming or we can record directly into DAW software, mix the audio, and then merge it with the video file. At this point the latter is the best method for good results.

A lot of people on have profiles with no Audio or Video samples and being on or SoundCloud without audio samples is like being on a dating website without photos. For a small contribution that will be used to buy more gear, we will set Guitar Players, Bass players, Drummers or Vocalist with a Backing Track they can Jam to while we create a video. I have two tech engineers that record and mix audio and match with the video file.

You can buy a bunch of gear and try and do it yourself or you can drop by our spot at The Waverly Place Rehearsal Studios in Framingham, MA, throw us a small contribution for more gear, and we can do it for you. If you are the person who already spent the money on gear only to find yourself overwhelmed with technology, I feel your pain. We are not here trying to make a living doing this. We are just trying to help local musician’s while we raise a little money to buy more gear.

It does not matter what genre of music you are into. From Rock, Rap, Country to Folk, it does not matter. I got two semi-volunteer engineers. One is into Electronica, Rap and Rock and the other is more Rock, Indie, Acoustic/Folk music and I will match you with what would suit you best.

If you are a singer songwriter who need a full band to record original material, we might be able to help with that as well. If you are eventually looking to find a band, we got over a 100 band rehearsal spots in this building. If you are talented and cannot find a band here, it is unlikely you will find on anywhere.

Let me know how we call help.
