I've been hitting most everything with sticks since I was in elementary school. Managed to maintain doing so even in college and even now, with life in the way, I've got my kit setup in my office. Just another drummer with a military drumline/sunday-morning-band/family jam/cover spammed/self made/introvert playing extrovert saying background. I also happen to like movies.

Influences
Anything from the Blue Devils, to Keith Green and Ray Charles, to Depeche mode and David Bowie, to The Chieftains and Wax Fang, there's a lot more and all to the effect of this: I grew up playing with my cousins who played acoustic, electric, bass, and improvised guitars and even one played only a piano. Put us all together with all of our interests and have us play for a good 10 years twice a week. You'd get a jam band and a sunday worship band that could turn any choir song into a blues/jazz/folk/grunge song that had a percussionist-at-heart drummer.
EQUIPMENT
Boomy things, some tingy things, some stands for them, prat-prat things, chk chk things, some hammers, all in all a basic kit with some additional "Z" symbols. Big sticks, little sticks, muffled sticks. Or some sticks off the ground if need be: though not to be played on non metal items.
