PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ABOUT ROCK MUSIC IN MOST O ITS GLORIOUS FORMS.
But most importantly LEGACY ROCK or music up to and including from the Beatles up to Lynyrd Skynyrdor the like

I am a drummer (Pearl/Zildjian) I am in the process of moving back to Prescott. I have pro experience I am under contract with Guitar Center and have other contacts.

I want to see if we can put together a band capable of playing and creating Legacy Rock at the B circuit level. I really dont want to do another bar band thing. I am thinking of this band being capable of generating original works of music which appeals to baby boomers, which are the number one rock market, the genre being legacy rock (classic rock). I dont mean a cover band but rather doing originals (with a few standard covers, maybe).

I am no kid either......

I am thinking about DOING MUSIC WHICH FITS IN WITH MUSIC OF THE LEGACY ROCK GENRE. Not country or any such thing. Think of Led Zep, Eagles, Doors, CSNY, Jeff Airplane, Jimi, Beatles, Steppin Wolf the Who, Deep Purple, Moody Blues . Stones, Animals, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Grand Funk, (pre crash) Lynard Skynard, Blues Image, PR and the Raiders..... this list could go on and on. I put this in here to describe the genre and be clear as possible about the genre, the mindset and the sound BUT not so much as a cover song play list.

I am not talking about copying the standards but rather creating new music which would have fit in well with music of this era. Something fresh in this genre. Think of all the classic rock radio stations......everyone listens to the same tracks over and over again. Its not that hard to pick it up and go........

Its a BABY BOOMER THING we are the largest music market in history. Hell we are the biggest market for anything.
Its going to take some time and effort to get real with this concept. I may have some sponsorship leads too.

Nobody has to be the best musician known to man? IT IS AS MUCH ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE AND BEING PERFORMERS . Its going to take heart and desire though ............ plus time to write and collaborate and rehearse . This isnt a gig for somebody who wants to be a weekend warrior.

Please put the word BAND in the header so I can tell your note from the usual junk I get. I am prepping to move back to Prescott I must find an Apt....etc. So I might not get right back in seconds but I will respond. I am not the best at paperwork I am a drummer so dont make me guess and if you arent willing to do this genre and work at music then thanks anyway.

Every body has a primary instrument which you are good at so please tell me. Dont worry about attaching demos Id rather talk to you at this point.

YOU DONT NEED TO BE PERFECT AND YOU DONT NEED PRO GEAR... that can come.
But you will need a lot of heart desire and willingness to make it work

VOCALS ARE WAY CRITICAL TO SUCCESS , MAYBE YOU DONT PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, BUT CAN SING IN THE SHOWER - so maybe that makes you a front man and or front woman.

WOMEN
Female vocals work too and female musicians as well. Hey if you cant play any instrument but if you think you can sing.........please contact me. I cant sing fer crap ..... but I am a drummer ..... ha

MAYBE YOU WRITE FINE LYRICS that might fit in this genre, hell psychedelic lyrics dont
even need to make sense .... but maybe only to you- contact me..... do you have music in your head?

Ultimately this project will need a sound guy.... a mixing board person. A recording person for practice and demos.

Nobody is perfect. Thats why it takes a band to pull it off ITS ABOUT SYNERGY dont be shy, a good band is a kick, and worth the time and effort.
AND IT WILL TAKE TIME AND EFFORT, ANYTHING GOOD IS WORTH THE EFFORT.
