I'm a songwriter currently touring the NW until Oct 19 playing acoustic shows and house concerts and rebooking venues for summer 2015. Learning how to travel without having airlines break my guitar/s, sleeping in a rental car, eating Burger King with coupons... first tour blues? Not really. It's good sh*t.
I'm glad I get the chance to be so "miserable".
I've had some interest communicated about bringing more than just myself next time. I'm thinking of bringing a string player - Dobro, Mandolin, Fiddle, Acoustic...
If you can play any of those, or all, and like average money and sporadic national travel, my direct number is (832)266-2868.
The person best suited for this position will be extremely laidback; have no drug or alcohol ¡problems!; presentable to the public; stable: at least have a dependable mode of transportation be it a ride everywhere or a set of wheels.
I'm not opposed to touring a full band, but the income isn't nearly enough to cover breakeven wages for a band. (Unless good, free musicians started growing in trees)

From Hayes Carll to Billy Joe Shaver. As long as it has an edge to it, it flies with me. No hard rock or nothing, I like to hear the individual instruments coming and going.

Tons of gear I don't need right now, like a 24ch Presonus (jacked up story behind that piece of gear - and the snake to plug it all up)
The PA is much too large for my needs, but as soon as I sell it off I'll find a band. Acoustic gigs I book are nearly all plug and play outside of Texas.
Primarily, I play 2 Epi's. A jumbo and a dove. Both are immaculate in tone. Nothing more than a tuner in my chain.
Bradley Sherrer and The Growlers take the stage at 9:30 for some hellraisin:)
Fri night at Kerville's coolest venue:)
