ABOUT

Texas native Brandon "Maurice" Bush proclaims himself as being more of a music history buff than a musician. Still, his passion runs deep. Bush started impersonating Elvis Presley and Hank Williams Sr. (the two artists primarily played growing up) when he was three. At age 11, he started teaching himself to play the acoustic guitar. He performed at many school talent shows and most frequently at the First United Methodist Church of his hometown Ector, Texas. He started writing songs when he was 18, and formed "The Brandon Bush Band" after graduating from the University of North Texas.

After releasing two full length albums and playing across the Southwest, Bush had to take a break due to personal issues and left the band in 2013. Now restarting his career and going by his middle name professionally, Maurice went to the Dallas Semi-Finals in the 99.5 The Wolf and 96.3 KSCS sponsored "Nash Next" contest in October of 2017. He also was a finalist in the "Eighth Annual Rusty Weir Songwriting Contest" sponsored by KHYI 95.3 The Range. Now with more life experiences to draw inspiration from, his music career has only just begun.
