Brandon Costlow is a Texas / Red Dirt artist as one will soon learn from listening to his lyrics. Musically, his roots run as deep as those of the Pines from East Texas where he was born and raised. He started playing guitar when he was 4 years old. By age 7 he was playing Texas sized venues like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Brandon has shared the stage with country music legends like Johnny Gimble and Leon Rausch, of Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys. He has also recorded in multiple award-winning studios such as Robin Hood Studios, Rosewood Studios, and Fort Worth Sound. He is a member of the Texas Country Music Association and additionally, holds two memberships with ASCAP as both a songwriter and a publisher.
After spending years perfecting the craft of songwriting, he gained some recognition when fellow artist, and longtime friend, JB Patterson of JB and The Moonshine Band picked up some of his songs and begin performing them at their shows. A few months later, Costlow played a show in Northeast Texas where Patterson had previously played, and the crowd knew every word to his songs. "At that very moment - when I looked up and saw the crowd singing my songs - I knew there was nothing else I wanted to do. Performing was my calling" said Costlow when asked about the experience. His music, lyrics, and stage presence are something, that when you hear it, and then you see it, you just know that this guy has "it."
