"Moon River" - Cover
"Moon River" - CoverI decided to do a version of this song, because my mom has always loved the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's (and Audrey Hepburn) and when I finally watched the movie, I was very moved by this particular song. Recorded at home on my iMac, using Logic Pro. One acoustic guitar, one mic...all me.
"Crazy" - Gnarls Barkley Cover
"Crazy" - Gnarls Barkley CoverThis was my brother, Dwayne Bateman and I playing around in the basement, recording one day.
"Hotel California" (Cover)
"Hotel California" (Cover)This was pretty much one of my first recordings on my Mac, in an unfinished basement with lots of noise popping up around me. But I still like how it turned out, even though it's a little rough around the edges. Recorded using a condenser mic of some sort and a classical guitar, that's it.
"She's Got You" (Industrial) - Patsy Cline Cover
"She's Got You" (Industrial) - Patsy Cline CoverI wanted to do this song, because I really loved the melody and the way the phrasing was done. But I really didn't like the musical arrangement very much. So, I thought I'd try something a little different. I wasn't very happy with the way the percussion turned out, but I had limited resources at the time, so this was the best I could do. I still like this recording though. Again...it's all me, so I take full credit for anything screwy with it. LOL
"Seven Years" - Norah Jones Cover
"Seven Years" - Norah Jones CoverPlayed on my Taylor Acoustic in front of a mic. Love this song, love the words, LOVE NORAH!!
"Heaven" by Bryan Adams
"Heaven" by Bryan AdamsThis goes way back, one of my earliest recordings. I'm playing piano, bass and guitar....didn't know how to add drums back then.
"Love Song" by Tesla
"Love Song" by TeslaAnother older recording....again, one of the very first ones I tried at home. The vocals are awful, but I'm playing and singing everything.
Best I Ever Had (Vertical Horizon Cover)
Best I Ever Had (Vertical Horizon Cover)I have just always loved this song....no other reason for recording it than that. Great melody, words and instrumentation in this song. As usual, I'm playing and singing everything.
All The Right Moves (Cover)
All The Right Moves (Cover)I recorded this at the beginning of 2013, but only just found the inspiration to get it finished editing and mixing. Still not perfect, but here it is. Hope you like.
Calling All Angels (Cover) by Train
Calling All Angels (Cover) by TrainFirst mix-down.....very rough draft. But I had a day off and played guitar and sang the lead vocals on the first track, then added more backing vocals, bass and drums after that. I'm not thrilled with how it sounds yet, but I had fun and it was just something that came to mind today
Hallelujah (cover)Out in the country at mom's house, and there's this upright piano...I've been drawn to it nearly every day. So I got up early today and sat my iPhone up and hit record. This is what you call 'raw'....nothing is balanced, nothing is overdubbed. It's just me, a cup of coffee and a piano.
