Brewster Bee is an Soul/Rock singer/songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Brewster is descended from a long line of writers from her father who has written books of business and family lineage to the Goodspeeds who ran the Goodspeed bookstore in Boston, MA and her ancestor shed named after her Mayflower ancestor and fellow writer, William Brewster, who was the author of Perth Assembly, the book he secretly published and distributed in England in 1619 that made King James extremely angry and resulted in the eventual confiscation of his printing press. Like her ancestor, Brewster is a rebel with a joyful spirit who also believes that love is at the core of the human spirit and she has written songs that are inspired by love as well as uplifting. As a young girl, Brewster studied poetry, violin, cello, guitar, piano, music theory, vocal performance and performed in a Gospel Choir in High School. Early in her career her songs found the admiration of Denny Dias (Founding member of Steely Dan) and Stuart “Dinky” Dawson (Producer and live sound engineer working with artists like Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Miles Davis and others). She has recently learned her distant cousin is the legendary Buddy Holly.

Brewster's love of soul music started with artists Diana Ross & The Supremes, Tammi Terrell, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Sam Cooke. Today she draws inspiration from Lady Gaga, Aloe Blacc, Dua Lipa, Amy Winehouse and Adele. She has been co-writing with award winning songwriter Jasmine Ash and collaborating with producer Aaron Shafer-Haiss on her upcoming debut EP set to release Spring 2021.
