ABOUT

I am in my "third career", concentrating on playing music for enjoyment and entertainment of others.

Currently playing Dobro and guitar and some vocals with a bluegrass/Americana band, Front Porch Boys.

Playing pedal steel with two bands in Columbia/Chapin. The Boondock Boys play country, some beach music and rock 'n 'roll tunes. The second band, 8-Track Country plays solid country music. Both play great dance music.

Have played with two bluegrass bands in Columbia area, 50-60s rock band(s), solo gigs in church, and performed at open mic and jams. In addition, I have performed instrumental Pedal Steel at the SE Steel Guitar Convention in Belvedere and West Columbia, SC. I am the SC Steel Guitar Convention coordinator.

Like to think outside the box as well as play traditional. Started playing R&R in Jr HS on NW influences of rock in the 60's; The Wailers, Viceroys, Kingsmen, Paul Revere, Rascals, Chuck Berry, Ventures.. We played JHS, HS, and college frat parties while in Jr HS. Have been picking music with musicians in the SE since early 90's.
