ABOUT

I am auditioning a lead guitar players to play with my band part or full time. Looking for someone who can play the Modern Country sound. Able to play anything from current radio hits to 90's country and originals.
Young 21-40, energetic, dynamic stage presence
Professional and experienced on stage
Skilled in music theory, Nashville notation if possible, and adapting quickly
Clean- no drugs, light drinking
Lead/background vocals preferred

Here’s a little rundown on me and my band. As an original artist I am, of course, hoping to become a national performer. This is not a hobby for me, it is my career. I try to run things as a business. We play mostly high profile shows (opening acts, casinos, fairs, events) and are expected to bring a national act level sound and show. We play a mix of originals and covers of mostly modern country but with a rock/pop sound.

I work with a producer out of Nashville, TN who produced both of my EP’s and all of my singles. I write with a number of veteran song-writers in Nashville and travel there a couple times a year to work with them and attend writers seminars. It is very important that my original songs be preformed live in just the same manner that they were recorded on the album. As I tell my audiences, I was raised on '80s Rock and '90s Country, but I see myself as country.

I have been singing 'professionally' for the past 6 years. For most of the year, we perform as a full 5-piece band, which includes: Lead (electric mostly, except for acoustic sets), Rhythm (electric & acoustic), Base and Drums. I am in need of a lead player to step in for this season. I have a lot of gigs coming up that are long sets to start off the year but will have shorter sets come summer when festivals and fairs start picking up.  At this point I have a very tight and committed band but am still missing a lead player.  I need a lead play who will fit with the band and learn my material quickly and like the record. I will need my lead player to be able to step in at the end of February. My summer schedule is usually fairly busy starting in June and goes through the October. From June to September I have shows booked on average three out of the four weekends each month. I have already begun the booking process for next year and it may be busier earlier than June and we may be on the road more. So a flexible schedule is necessary as we have a lot of out of town gigs during the summer. We are seeking a professional, who is organized and communicates well, with the drive to work hard. But we also need someone that wants to have fun and meshes well with the group, as we spend a lot of time together.

Our practice schedule varies based upon the band's level of readiness. We carpool to most gigs, so that band members riding in one of our two trucks don't have pay for fuel. We cover the cost of rooms but ask that you cover your own food costs.

One of the biggies is we run with in ear monitors and do not use floor monitors.  We also do not run with amps on stage as they are very difficult to work with and pick up in my mic and make it harder to mix.  We have the in ear monitor packs but ask that you supply the headphones.  We have a BBE (direct box) that all our guitarist use and it works wonderfully instead of using an amp.

If you think you might be a good fit for this position, please email me a resume, past bands, video links and anything else you would like me to know or send me a fb message through my music page Briana Renea Music with links to your music.

You can download my EP of original songs on iTunes or stream it on Spotify.
