I recently recorded a 5 song demo EP and would love to bring it, and other songs, to life.
My music is veering towards a cross between Ben Folds and Death Cab For Cutie, though with some live experience I hope to liven up the sound a bit, Talking Heads-style...does that sound cliche?
To begin with, I think it would be good to mix in a healthy dose of mellow, yet swinging, cover songs, until the band fleshes out its own repertoire. Plus, providing some familiarity would seem beneficial in attracting a fan base.
