ABOUT

I've been an on-again off-again performer but have had the music bug ever since I was a little girl. Never having quite enough confidence to pursue music theatre in college, I went in to the health field, stayed close to home, and sang in groups and bands when I had the time. In 2000, at the age of 30, I met searched for and found my biological parents - - which completely explained my pull toward the music life. >She< was a singer and >He< was a bass player. They toured in bands together throughout Texas when they were young. To this day, my bio-mom still rocks the house whenever she can. Her parting words to me regarding singing: "Never quit singing".

Searching for an established (primarily country) band to join OR would also start with the right mix of musicians to start from the ground up; not opposed to adding in sets of hits from all eras and genres, nor am I opposed to being part of an acoustic duo/trio. Bottom line I suppose, I'm open to options.

New partners must have experience and stage presence. I'm seeking something special (as we all are); had it once, not sure I'll ever find it again, but here's to having hope...
I have faith that if "it's meant to be" then everything should fall into place.

No drugs, no alcoholics, no soap operas, no weirdness - I've zero tolerance for that. And I do mean 'zero'. Just bring the desire to sing - and deliver.

It's been a little while since I've performed, but now have the time to commit and get music back into my life - professionally. As far as musical experience: a wannabe drummer here -- who wound up playing the organ starting around age 10. I haven't played now for 20 years. My professional singing consists of weddings, retirement and Christmas parties, funerals, pub/ sports bar gigs, state fair performances, Disney World, The Paladium and The Colliseum in St. Petersburg.

I started out singing in church and various school groups, then progressed to a family Christian group -- splitting off from there with two sisters to form a kick-ass trio, performing mostly Broadway, oldies, patriotic favorites, and our bread-and-butter - Andrew Sisters tunes. Sprinkled in throughout the years, I performed with a contemporary Christian band and a local cover band (mostly 70s-90's covers).

By the way, I reside in Tampa and work in Pinellas, so commuting a little isn't a deal-breaker.

Influences

FAR too many influences, but I'll list some...
I enjoy and appreciate all music; have a special affinity for country music, old and new..... but do enjoy classic rock, hair bands (GnR, Skid Row, Kip Winger ), 80s/90s top 40s all genres, and ALWAYS: super-tight harmonies, and haunting melodies. Well rounded, I'd say ;)
