Joined a semi-pro orchestra at 13, played with many "horn bands" in my teens and twenties, played in the Louisville Orchestra as a music undergrad; , toured with the Buzzard Rock String Band in the 80's-including at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, National Flat-Pick Guitar Fest, the KFC Bluegrass Festival in Louisville appeared with them on the NPR programs"Mountain Stage", Chicago's "Flea Market", "The Lonesome Pine Special"and "Prarie Home Companion"-nominated for a Folk Grammy in 1988. I recorded with prog band "French TV"in the 80's, band received many great reviews internationally. I was a co-founder of "Louisville Homefront" a regional NPR program/concert in '84 then I moved from Louisville to Takoma Park, MD and co-founded and produced an all-day jazz festival, and ran it for 22 years.
