ABOUT

Bryan C. Simmons, a multifaceted musician from Vallejo, CA, has established a distinguished presence in the music industry as a skilled keyboardist and producer. His unexpected transition from athletics to music has led to an impressive career.

Bryan’s range of accomplishments is noteworthy. He musically directed “God Talk,” the debut film from the National African-American Museum, which premiered in October 2023. His tenure as music supervisor for Keke Palmer since 2022 includes working on over 11 projects, including a series executive produced by Snoop Dogg.

In October 2022, Bryan released “Nature’s Harmony, Volume One,” a significant contribution to the Lofi hip-hop movement. His involvement in over 100 tracks, whether through production or keyboard performance, showcases his diverse skills.

As a co-owner of The Reef Studios in downtown Oakland since October 2019, Bryan has been instrumental in various projects and documentaries, and runs an internship program with the Oakland School for the Arts since 2022.

Bryan’s international acclaim is further highlighted by his performances in over 30 countries and at major festivals with three-time Grammy Award-winning Fantastic Negrito, including Glastonbury and Lollapalooza.

From 2014 to 2015, Bryan played with an international show band called Evolver in Bahrain, and from 2015 to 2016, he continued with Evolver at The Music Room in Dubai, further expanding his global experience.

A member of the Recording Academy, Bryan mentors in the GrammyU program and is the author of “Harmonic Odyssey: 25 Neo-Soul Chord Progressions Unveiled.”

His journey reflects a blend of formal education, under mentors like Dr. Michael Zilber and Doug Beavers, and hands-on experience. Bryan’s expertise includes music composition, administration, supervision, and more. He is currently focused on collaborations, educational projects, and plans to release his second solo album in 2024.
