I'm a music lover and would be very happy to find people to play music with. My desire is to be in a group where I can focus on creating guitar parts to play. I'm not that big into covers, I love inventing, so if you're interested in that, I'd love to meet you.
My style is pretty chill. I don't tend to play the guitar on overdrive, preferring a clean sound. I love writing solos and playing interesting harmonies. I can sing, but would rather focus on the guitar, so if anyone out there who sings is looking for a guitar accompanist, let's talk!

Influences
My influences are varied. I was first inspired by the band Rush, but I don't play anything like Alex Lifeson, except that like him, I'm influenced by jazz harmonies.
My primary influences on my sound are jazz (especially guitarists like Joe Pass and Wes Montgomery), as well as impressionism (ala Debussy), and folk music (both American and British). I'm also very influenced by the blues. I have a strange tendency to wrap all those influences into one, so I think I play fairly differently than most people.
Musicians who have shaped me a lot are B.B. King, Alex Lifeson, Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Blues Traveler, Doug Burr, The Weather Station, Mandolin Orange, Dan Fogelberg, Brian Setzer, Norah Jones and the Handsome Band, Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, Snooks Eaglin', The Black Keys, Yoko Kanno, and too much other stuff to mention.
