Bucket of Witches is a 3 piece Roots Rock, Funk and Soul band playing an 80/20 mix of originals and covers. We would love to add a 4th member heavy on Hammond B3/Leslie sounds. We are very open to new ideas, experimentation and improvisation. We play mostly original music but also play cover that we dig.

Singer/songwriter Mikael Lewis has lived in more places than most will visit in a lifetime. This wanderlust is ever present in Lewis' musical tales of travel, loss, hopeful dreams, love, politics, and the evolving beauty of life. These poetic landscapes are supported by an adept, rhythmic, percussive, and sometimes, bizarrely tuned guitar style reminiscent of Peter Mulvey, Ani DiFranco and Bruce Cockburn. Lewis carries his tunes with a laid back, soulful voice referencing Sam Cooke, Beck, Michael Stipe, and the occasional spoken word of Johnny Cash.

Bucket of Witches skillfully blends elements of Folk, Lo-fi, Rock, Funk and Americana with subtle hints of Jazz and World Music.
