We're looking to build a Christian rock band. We already have a female lead. The influences include, but are not limited to:
-Flyleaf
-Red
-Icon for Hire
-Paramore
-Breaking Benjamin
-Letter Black
-Evanescence
-Eowyn
The influences are purposely diverse to express the experimental nature of the band. A specific sound will be developed once the band is formed. For right now, we want to leave room for creative experimentation.
Because this is a serious endeavor, there will be a process to joining. Each new member will contribute to the adding of another, so the earlier you get back to us, the better.
We're looking for Christian band members who have a serious relationship with Christ. That is the first and most important requirement, as it will directly affect both the music and longevity of the band.
-Serious musicians between the ages of 21-30 years of age
-Willing to practice at least twice a week.
-Looking for two guitarists (lead and rhythm), a drummer and a bassist
-Know there instrument enough to experiment
-Have an understanding of why they want to be in a band and what there goals and priorities are
-Creative and passionate about music
The below listed aren't requirements, but are definite bonuses:
-Multi-instrumentalists (including backing vocals and orchestral instruments)
-Multipotentialists- Meaning people with skills in other areas such as graphic design, production, etc.
(Example: The singer has experience in Public Relations, which will help greatly in building a press kit and other publicity needs.)
-Songwriters
-Bilinguals (possibility for an extended market)
