My stage name is cadetdarby. My name is Cam Darby. I’m from Bossier City, Louisiana and I’m 23 years old. I am not currently under any music contract and I’ve been making music for about 1 year.
I started making music at the end of 2021 when I downloaded Fl Studios just for fun. I had been in percussion in middle school and picked up on production pretty quickly. At first, I only wanted to produce music because I was heavily influenced by Kanye West and wanted to push a unique sound but couldn’t find artists where I’m from to get on the beats. So around mid 2022 I got on my own beats and cadetdarby was created.
Coming from Louisiana there’s a lot of talent in multiple places in multiple things. My aim is to become one of the greats from Louisiana and be known across the world as a real and authentic person. There’s a lot of negativity that goes on around the world and music brings people together so I hope that my music does that because I talk about raw and real day to day things, in hopes that I can relate it to the average person.
