I am a jazz trombonist who has been taking a break from school since graduating high school but am currently aiming to get back into the jazz scene as much as possible and go back to school with a major in musical performance. I have previously volunteered for two years with the Daytona State Jazz Ensemble in Daytona Beach FL as the lead trombone player both those years. I played in my high school jazz ensemble on lead trombone for two years at Spruce Creek High School where we competed in the Savannah Swing Central Jazz Competition. I am currently aiming to play trombone with any big band available specifically on lead but if any other book needs to be filled I can do that as well I am a flexible musician. Not the greatest at improvisation just yet but will step up to the plate if need be.

Influences
I spend most my free time listening to a lot of Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, and many of the Armed Forces jazz ensembles with the goal of knowing what a lead trombone player needs to sound like. I usually transcribe at least one lead part a week to also improve my ear while learning to play some of the charts I have always wanted to play in a big band setting

EQUIPMENT
My equipment is sub par at the moment due to a lack of funds, but I aim to get a King 2b once I can afford one. My main horn is an old unidentifiable yamaha while I do have a big bore horn a Gedson Canadian Brass.
