ABOUT

My current availability for gigs is 1-4x per month. Weekend-ers and one-off's.

Keeping an eye out for an actual pro-level classic rock band, who is in need of an experienced and solid bass player (with backing voc), OR a pro-level 90s-country band, OR one that can do Both equally well :) AND is actually working.

Me:
Decades of live performance, incl. touring. Nowadays, I write and record original music, most often rock (but not always rock).
If you're looking for a slap/pull/funk bass player, that's not me.

I like modern rock bands such as Foo Fighters, Barenaked Ladies, Remedy Drive, classic rock such as Rush, Pat Travers, Def Leppard, Boston, AC/DC, Winger (She's Only Seventeen), Night Ranger...etc. 90's pop-country like Restless Heart, Diamond Rio and Rascal Flatts are just the BEST, imho!

All tracks on this Bandmix page are original compositions, written, performed and recorded my me, except for the video soundtracks, which I did not write but I do play bass on them. For the remaining tracks, the only instrument not performed by me is drums.

Influences

Classic Rock bands: The Producers, The Tubes, Uriah Heep, Rush, Pat Travers, AC/DC, Grand Funk (w/Mark Farner), Winger, Def Leppard, Boston. Also have high appreciation for Sarah McLaughlin.... and late-80s/-90s country-rock such as Restless Heart, Diamond Rio, Tom Petty, Rascal Flatts, Blackhawk and others in that genre.

Other musings: As a listener, I have pretty eclectic musical tastes. But, I have some likes/dislikes...especially in Country music. For example, in general I like Brad Paisley's music, but REALLY *dislike* Gary Allen's. I like Keith Urban's music, but *REALLY REALLY* dislike Toby Keith's. Old Allman Bros. Band had a big influence on me when I was young - but generally speaking I just don't care for the 'Southern Rock' thing that followed them (boring and one-dimensional). 'Modern Country'? Some is great. Some sucks. These days a lot of it seems canned, corporate and sterile. I WANT MY 90s COUNTRY!! I love good 'Blues' and Blues-based like SRV and Howard Tate. You've never heard of Howard Tate??? What is Wrong with you?? Lol :)
