Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Saxophone, Keyboard, Trombone.

ABOUT

Will be about 12 months before I retire. My level of commitment will go way up at that time. However, I would like to be learning songs, jamming, and progressing in the meantime. Unlike many trumpet players, I do well by ear. 3 times a week (practicing) is ridiculous for a brass player. I practice at least 5 times per week.

Influences

I was Allstate Band all four years in High School. Didn't play much at all while I was in the Air Force. Been back playing about an hour a day for the last 4 years, along with some pretty intense muscle (embouchure) training. I've gotten to where high Cs are pretty routine. Just need to tone the muscles with some more playing time. I have a pretty good baritone voice with range into the mid 2nd tenor (roughly).

EQUIPMENT

I have two trumpets and a coronet. My main trumpet is a Conn and is an older professional model. I had it treated but was advised against complete refurbishment as it takes some metal along with the finish. I also am financially able to get whatever other equipment I need. My answers to the questions below at present and in the future vary considerable.
