ABOUT

Hello everyone!

I’m currently starting a new music project and was interested in seeing if any vocalists would like to contribute. I’m currently about to record an unsigned LP under the outfit CashWoods.
I know a few people in Austin and San Antonio who can mix and master. Please let me know what you think or if you are available.

I’m interested in working with people who are well versed in Latin influenced music and can speak and sing in different languages (preferably Spanish).

Influences

I am very much a fan of Omar Rodriguez Lopez and his musical projects with Cedric Bixler Zavala, especially their collaborations on The Mars Volta and Defacto.
I was introduced to latin/jazz through this and have more recently been interested in the works of salsa musicians such as WIllie Colon, Ismael Rivera, and Hector Lavoe.

I'm very strong in guitar and bass
My current style is a very stripped down clean reverb drenched guitar tone, almost surf with jazz influences.

I would love to collaborate with musicians who are interested in doing something that has yet to be labeled or identified

Something that isn't rock or hip hop!
I've played in a handful of rock bands and am totally burned out on the loud distorted power chord thing!

I am trying to avoid using any kind of MIDI instruments and am seriously interested in experimenting with different acoustic techniques and microphone placement.
