Influences
Some of my Female influences are- Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Dinah Washington, Nina Simone, Brenda Lee, Ruth Brown, the queens of the Blues/Jump Blues. Female singers from other misc genres include but are not limited to - Bonnie Raitt, Nora Jones, Pat Benatar, Joan Osborne, Alicia Keys, Pink, Joss Stone, Alanis Morissette, and many others but I would have to say these are the female vocalists that have influenced my style the most.
