ABOUT

Looking to join a band or connect with like-minded musicians to see what we can create together! Hoping to regularly rehearse so we can perform 1-2 times/month. Must be in the Santa Cruz area.

A bit about me:
I have been singing and playing my recorders for many years. (I also play Native Indian Flutes.) But, with my recorders (have sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor) I can play a variety of styles of music from blues to rock to Celtic to classical to reggae and more. I love music fusion! I also play some melodica and some keyboards and some ukulele. I know that if there were some songs to learn, I could learn some parts for them.

I also love to sing or do backup vocals and I'm very good at harmonies.

Was in a duo called, The Seaside Sisters with Hannah Smalltree and we performed upbeat sets full of great songs through the ages, impromptu singalongs and lots of laughter. We sang in harmony and played ukulele, recorders and creative percussion (check out seasidesistersmusic).

Was lead singer in a band for many years singing mostly original songs that were described as Spirit, Heart, Rock (check out SweetJamBand).

Have done back up vocals with The Jerry Miller Band (from Moby Grape), as well with a variety of local Santa Cruz bands. One of those bands was a Celtic Pirate Rock band where I sang the Dropkick Murphy's song, "Dirty Glass", and also played my recorders and did other backup vocals on some of their other songs.

Had a project called Song Farm working on original music with Terry Haggerty (Sons of Champlain), Katie Guthorn (Big Bang Beat) and Keith Graves (Jerry Miller Band, Jefferson Starship, Quicksilver Messenger Service).

Have also been hired to record on many projects.
