Popular alt-indie artist Catlea possesses a diverse musical style that covers an eclectic spectrum. They have garnered praise and fans across numerous genres from EDM to alternative, indie, rock, pop, and folk.

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter’s beautiful, haunting voice can be heard on her early releases, while her raw, powerful vocals are on full display with her most recent songs. Along with her distinctive voice, Catlea plays piano, guitar, ukulele—and is learning drums and bongos. Inspired by every-day occurrences, Catlea’s lyrics focus on topics such as love, friendship, social issues, and nature. They have been writing and performing music for as long as she can remember, and attended the prestigious School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) in Cincinnati. Over the last 18 months, she has written, produced, and released eight international singles, garnering 140,000 followers on social media and streaming services. Her songs have been streamed over 4.3 million times, and her YouTube lyric videos have more than 625,000 views.

“I love writing my own songs, making music with others, and performing onstage,” said Catlea. “It’s what I was born to do." Her songs feature catchy “earworms” and witty lyrics that get inside your head and make you want to hit the replay button. “I try to create music that means something not just to me, but to the person listening.”
