Many years playing lead guitar on contemporary worship teams and with Christian bands. My band from up north opened for Newsboys, Jars of Clay and David Crowder Band. I play a Les Paul or a Fender Strat through a Mesa Boogie amp. Like to work with songwriters and do originals, if high quality.
My secular experience has been clubs playing everything from pop to classic rock to old school R&B and dance music. I do a little smooth jazz style playing as well. That was then.
I am looking for good players who want to honor God with the words they sing and use their gifts and talents to play music that reaches people both the saved and unsaved.
No heavy metal or rap. I do like tasteful Gospel and Funk. My speciality to mainstream contemporary Christian with a good groove, a little Latin/soul, and some strategic screaming guitar leads (not overpowering the vocals).
I have done some studio work but not enough to consider myself a studio player.
