Older singer-songwriter looking for someone who would be interested in forming a duo or trio. I would not classify myself as an instrumentalist, although I did take guitar lessons for a few years, and am just starting to get back into it, so ... for now, at least, I am looking for an accompanist who can either play guitar or keyboards. Would be cool if you sing and write as well, but it’s not a dealbreaker if you don’t. Would love to play out once or twice a month, and while making money would be nice, it's not a motivating factor for me.
I tend to gravitate toward songs from the 50s to the 70s, but enjoy singing select newer songs as well. Big Beatles fan. Love Simon and Garfunkel, Jim Croce, The Monkees, and ... well, you get the idea. I'm also a fan of older country music (like Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Glen Campbell, Ray Price, Kris Kristofferson, etc).
I will be adding some covers with me singing lead very soon. In the meantime, you can look me up on Reverbnation. My name is Carl Conge.
Interested in hearing what I sound like live? Send me a Facebook friend request, and I will send you a link to a recent video of me performing live.
I would say that my musical influences show in my writing, and that the songs that I have written are very good. I'll let you be the judge! You can check them out on Reverbnation.
Anyone interested? If so, please shoot me a note, and tell me a little about yourself, your background, etc. Would be great if you could also send a link to one of your performances.
No set requirements other than the ability to play guitar or keys. Open to male, female, younger, or older. It all works.
NOTE: Someone who is available to practice during the day on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays would be ideal.
