ABOUT

I was a vocalist/songwriter briefly in a progressive rock band last year. It didn’t work out due to many reasons, but it spurred me to finally create my own songs and melodies, which I know have a multitude of.
I intuitively write lyrics, and was able to write meaningful lyrics while in the studio rehearsing with the previous band.
I’m open to a lot of ideas, and I don’t feel the need to take over creatively, but I believe I have a stellar ear for melody and can incorporate a lot of ideas into material.
I taught myself the acoustic guitar, and though I’m not extremely proficient, my style is varied and I like to think of songs in a coherent album format, with snippets and themes relating back to each other throughout the different tracks.
Very open to jamming, and seeing how it works out

Influences

Foo fighters, Sublime, Incubus, Nirvana, Chad Van Gaalen, Wilco, Radiohead, Neutral Milk Hotel…main songwriting and structure influences I would say.
I have been an audiophile for 25+years and always searching for new music in all genres. Personally I gravitate to indie/alternative in my style of playing, but I have a huge love for reggae,funk,soul,blues,cumbia,house,hip-hop,and much much more
