Nestled at the base of the Arbuckle Mountains in Oklahoma sits the small but quaint city of Ardmore which is known for it’s rich community of musicians and artists. Among this group of artists you will find a humble bunch of guys that make up the Christian band Fullers Field. In the past seven years Fullers Field has been concentrating on writing/recording and playing venues across this area of the country including various churches, schools, and events/festivals including the State Fair of Oklahoma and Six Flags Over Texas. In July of 2018 Fullers Field released their debut self titled CD produced by engineer and guitarist Joey McClellan. The CD includes eleven original songs that express the bands deep desire to share hope, joy, and God’s authentic love to a hurting world.
Fullers Field is made up of five musicians from not only different walks of life, but also different musical styles and generations. The music that’s created when they toss their musical styles and abilities into a creative soup is unique and infectious. Their style ranges from somewhat folk/acoustic, to traditional folk/rock with a gospel flare. Contained within the melodies and hooks of their songs you may hear tinges of bands that have inspired their writing such as Mumford and Sons, The Head and the Heart, The Lumineers, and All Sons and Daughters.
In April of 2019, Fullers Field was contacted by Dave Moody, the president of Lamon Records in Nashville, Tennessee. After communicating back and forth several times, Dave offered them a record deal which they graciously accepted. The guys will travel to Nashville in July and begin recording new music with Lamon. Their first single Forty-Seven is currently #8 on the Christian music charts. They're excited about this new chapter that God has woven into their history together and are extremely excited about the future.
