Band to Join, Vocalist, Vocalist - Soprano, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Violin, Flute, Other, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, Vocalist - Alto, Upright bass, Cello, Ukulele, Harp.ABOUT
Looking for a really good jazz (standards or fusion) trio or quartet that needs/wants a serious keyboard player.
Looking for an innovative and skilled acoustic group that wants an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist.
My interests are broad:
On the keyboard side I have a rich background in Jazz, Jazz Fusion, and much more. As a child I was classically trained, then evolved (or devolved - depending on your perspective) into jazz and jazz fusion. Then developed extensively into improvisational experimentation. I love to innovate. Would love to find some very innovative instrumentalists to explore with. Acoustically - jazz standards, fusion - the sky's the limit.
On the guitar side, I am quite different. I love highly developed music rooted in impressionistic acoustic styles. As the great Scottish fiddle player Aly Bain once said "Bluegrass is really jazz" (at least in its advance form). In this category it would be great to connect with some fellow innovators, upright bass, cello, mandolin/fiddle, banjo, vocalists. I am also very interested in some song writing collaborations. I have done a lot of contemporary and gospel song writing, as well as jazz, folk, blues, ballads, etc.
Piano/Keyboard: Jazz. Jazz fusion, improvisational
Acoustic Guitar: Fingerstyle, bluegrass, new-grass, folk, etc
Banjo, Resophonic lap guitar, Mandolin, background vocals - not main instruments but can do support work with these instruments.
I started playing the piano decades ago at the age of five, and by the age of seven was performing before large audiences on the West Coast. I began writing and arranging music at a very young age, becoming a prolific song writer and arranger as an adolescent into adulthood.
As time went on, I became a multi-instrumentalist, singer, song-writer, arranger and experienced performer. I studied piano under the tutelage of master pianist Don Francisco, classical piano under Sandra Taylor (who studied piano under one of Arthur Rubinstein's protegees at the San Francisco Opera), studied jazz piano under Tom Coster (who performed, toured and/or co-wrote with Billy Cobham, Gabor Szabo, Larry Coryell, Joe Satriani, Victor Wooten and Carlos Santana - and many others). I also participated in freelance study at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and studied music education at SFCC. I am a member of the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (jazzarts.org), and a member of the Jazz Education Network (jazzednet.org). In addition to decades of piano and voice training, I play fingerstyle guitar, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, hammer dulcimer, slide, as well as other instruments.
I have written, recorded, and performed original music that has been featured both nationally and internationally as both a solo artist and as part of an ensemble. I have performed before small audiences, as well as in front of tens of thousands at larger venues.

A minor Harmonic Improvisational
A minor Harmonic Improvisational Track number: 2 Year: 2017 Genre: Rock
Me getting a little shred out of my system. Started with an A minor harmonic chord progression. Added some layers of keyboard bass/cello strings to fill out the bottom. Then, added articulated arpeggios (played not sampled) for a little character and texture. Finally, added the keyboard simulated lead guitar with distortion. I am still getting used to the response on the lead guitar improvisation.
