Ready to get back into the scene. Cedar Rapids has been a tough nut for me to crack. I have played in countless bands in Chicago and Iowa City, but just haven't found my niche in the Cedar Rapids scene (if Cedar Rapids has a scene) yet. I used to consider my self a pro. I've spent a lot of time on the road touring. I've supported some amazing performers over the years. My career trajectory has shifted over the past few years, so I'm a little rusty these. But that pains me so much. I need to remedy that. Honestly, I loved filling in for bands in a pinch. Got a guitarist or bass player that can't make a date, but you don't want to cancel a show? I'm your guy. I'm cool to commit, but I'm equally fine with one and done situations.

Influences
All over the place, honestly. I'm drawn more to good songwriting and solid production than to any particular genre. If pressed, the bands and artists that I gravitate towards include The National, The Shins, Aimee Mann, Nada Surf... but I don't want to paint myself into a corner. Good songs are good songs, regardless of the genre. I want to play good songs. Could be country or metal or electronic (I've played with bands in all of those genres). But indie rock has generally been the direction my attention takes me.

P-Bass, Music Man bass, 62 strat, 72 tele custom; Orange AD30, Fender Deluxe Reverb. I've got some Line 6 stuff for versatility. I've got some Peavey stuff for unflappable ruggedness. I've got a bunch of random crap because I am a gear hoarder. Probably never going to use that Alesis Blackface ADAT or MOTU 2408 again, yet there they are sitting on my rack.
