Saxophone, Drums.

We are a Christian rock band looking for a drummer and a sax player. I call us rock, but that covers a broad range. We're not super heavy. Tends to lean to more soulful, bluesy influenced stuff. Would love to find some more musicians to add to our group that have great feel and creativity. We want people that can add to the music, not just play along. Most needed is a drummer, but am intersted in meeting other Christian musicians around Fort Wayne too.

This is a hard question to answer. Back in college I did the bar band scene playing classic rock, to hard rock. Now I play some gospel/jazzy stuff at church, so I’ve had quite the variety over the years. I guess I would list in no particular order:
Edwin McCain, Nickelback, Metallica, Maroon 5, Aerosmith, Tommy Walker, Journey, Elton John, and ? How’s that for an odd list?

I really like Edwin McCain’s music. I like the intelligence of the lyrics and the tastefulness of the musicianship. Forget the stuff you hear on the radio, and listen to: Darwin’s Children, Take Me, Jesters, etc. I think somewhere between Edwin and something heavier would be a nice place to be.

I love the overall sound of the black album by Metallica, the lead vocal of Nickelback, the funkiness of Maroon 5, Steven Tylers bluesy vocals, Tommy Walkers great chord progressions, Journey’s harmonies, Elton’s piano, etc.
