Looking to do an occasional open mic or longer sets. We are bassist (no vocals) and she is a violinist/just started electric guitar, and can sing. I have a practice room in my home (Bayport, Long Island) The violinist is retired and I am also so time is flexible. We have done open mics as a duo but our guitarist just moved to Houston so our trio is no more. We were able to do 3-45 minute sets at a Farmer's Market all summer of 2021 as a trio.

Influences

She comes from country and bluegrass, I favor progressive rock and fusion jazz (but most is too hard for me!) We have done open mics as a duo with an hour of bass/violin and half hour of bass/guitar. Wide range of stuff-King Crimson, Floyd, Hendrix, Joan Baez, Stones, Game of Thrones, Pink Panther theme, etc. You can ask for a set list.

Fender P bass, assorted bass amps enough for open mics. Two mics and a simple PA. She has the violin, acoustic amp and a newly acquired electric guitar. Usually not able to use them at open mics but we both have pedal boards as well.
