I'm an indie rock songwriter and a classically trained composer. I spent quarantine writing/composing a ton of songs for one of my existing bands. I have way more stuff I like than I need for that project, which is moving a little slower than I'd like, so I'd like to form another one, either to play some of my poppier songs or to do the slightly more experimental ones. I really mostly need a drummer and can do a lot of the other stuff myself as needed, but if you play bass or lead guitar, that would really move things along. I'd like to record a bunch of music -- and we can get started on that rather quickly -- and then potentially see how the project develops as a live act. You must be able to read music -- you don't need to be a great sight-reader (and the last thing I want is for this to be some music-school-nerd prog project, even though I guess I sort of am a music-school nerd), but you at least need to be able to use notated stuff to help you figure out things quickly with the help of demos. If you have any ability to record or realize synth arrangements, that would be a huge bonus, but it's not necessary. This would hopefully be project that we can get off the ground pretty quickly.
